Competition in the accommodation sector is heating up, with traditional providers going head-to-head with rental property operators.

If price is not the determining factor for a traveler to choose which product they're going to opt for on a particular trip, then what the overall experience could be clincher.

This is where many rentals are now focusing their energies, with more tech to enhance the guest experience and positioning the product and sector one where modern amenties and services can match those in their hotel counterparts.

Many of these improvements and processes require investment - something not every property owner can afford - so striking the right balance is important.
